The Best Exercises for Belly Fat
Best Exercise For Belly Fat
There’s no way around it: to lose belly fat, you need to exercise. When you exercise, your body uses fat for energy, burning it away quickly and effectively. Here are some of the best exercises for belly fat.
Aerobic Exercise
The best exercise for belly fat is aerobic exercise. Aerobic exercise is anything that gets your heart rate up. This can be walking briskly, jogging, playing soccer, raking leaves–whatever makes your heart rate speed up is guaranteed to reduce the amount of fat on your body, especially your belly. Exercise aerobically at least four times a week for 30 minutes to optimize the amount of belly fat you can lose.
Lifting Weights
Because muscles need more energy to exist, having toned muscles is one of the best ways to lose fat. Therefore, lifting weights is another best exercise for belly fat. Lift weights three to four times a week to tone and strengthen your body. Ab crunches target your abdominal muscles, ensuring that once the belly fat is gone you will have a toned, muscular stomach. Squats target the large muscles in your legs, and since your leg muscles are quite large, any exercise that builds them up will be a best exercise for belly fat.
Yoga
Yoga not only builds up muscles and burns calories, it also helps you relax, which is why yoga is another best exercise for belly fat. Stress can make us over eat, and it can slow down the body’s fat-burning functions. By incorporating yoga into your life, you will be attacking belly fat from all angles. Do yoga three to four times a week for a half hour or more for optimum fat loss.
Swimming
Because swimming targets muscles that other exercises may not affect, swimming is another best exercise for belly fat. Swimming just a few times a week for 20-30 minutes will burn fat and strengthen your muscles, making it an aerobic exercise that is also a strengthening exercise.
Sports
Any sport you enjoy participating in is a best exercise for belly fat. If you enjoy biking, football, tennis or swimming, try to do these activities three or four times a week for at least a half hour. Chances are, if you enjoy doing it you’ll do it more often.
Committing to exercises you don’t enjoy can set you up for failure. It’s easy to put off getting on the treadmill if you can’t stand running. If you love riding your bike, however, you can try using your bike as your main mode of transportation, making it a good choice for your fat-burning exercise. No matter what exercise you choose to do, try to do it at least 3 to 4 times a week for a half hour.

Personally, I have found that a combination of a modest, calorie deficit diet, lots of foods that burn fat in your diet and a 5K exercise regime does wonders for belly fat loss.
